How Permanent Jewelry Works

1. Make an appointment or come to any event or pop up. Expect about 10-20 minutes. More pieces may require more time.

2. Choose your chain, charms/connectors. Take your pick from a selections of different metals. Mix and Match and Stack.

3. Get Welded. During your appointment, you’ll be custom fit with your chain to your wrist, ankle, or neck, and the chain will be welded shut.

HOW LONG DOES THE WELDING PROCESS TAKE?

Appointments are usually scheduled for 20 minute time slots for you to make your selections, be custom fit, and welded. You may want to come to your appointment early to select your chain and charms if you aren’t sure what you are wanting or think you might be indecisive. If there are specific chains or charms you are wanting, contact me prior to booking to make sure I have it in stock or I can pre-order and let you know when it arrives.

CAN I REMOVE THE CHAIN IF NEEDED

Yes permanent jewelry can be removed for special circumstances (surgery, MRI, sports, etc) or by choice. If you need to remove your piece for any reason, you can simply cut the welded jump ring with scissors or nail clippers. We do offer re-welding once for free and any additional time for a small fee. If the piece is cut anywhere other than the jump ring we may not be able to re-weld exactly the way it looked before. However if you bring your chain in, I will work with you to fix your jewelry. You can also have a clasp added to any piece.

WHAT IF MY CHAIN BREAKS?

Eden’s Pieces chain selections are made of high-quality materials and meant to resist everyday wear and tear. However permanent does not mean indestructible it just means clasp-less. Any piece is susceptible to damage if it gets snagged, stretched, or met with force and can break. Broken or lost chains are non-refundable. However if you bring in your original chain, I can work with you to repair your jewelry for a small fee.

CAN I GO THROUGH TSA WITH PERMANENT JEWELRY?

Yes! TSA does not require removal of permanent jewelry. You should have no problem on all your travel adventures

CAN I WEAR IT IN THE SHOWER, POOL, HOT TUB, OCEAN, ETC?

Of course! That’s the fun of permanent jewelry. Our chain selections are meant to go through life’s adventures with you. Some jewelry may be prone to oxidation (tarnishing) after exposure to pools or hot tub chemicals or even chemicals in everyday water. You should always clean your piece with soap and water and dry completely after getting out of any kind of water. Keep in mind some water sources have more chemicals present than others and you may notice more changes in these situations. See below for what to do in this case.

WHAT DO I CLEAN MY JEWELRY WITH?

Jewelry can be cleaned with any gentle dish soap or non toxic jewelry cleaner. Some metals like sterling silver are more prone to tarnishing for many reasons. A gentle scrub with a polishing cloth, or quick cleaning with baking soda/water paste and a soft brush should be all that is required to restore to its original shine. If this is unsuccessful, however, a silver dip may be used. This can be bought cheaply online, or you can have it brought in for a dip & deep ultrasonic cleaning for a charge. Some people have tarnishing of metals due to skin pH or personal care products and the ingredients in them.

IS THERE ANYONE THAT SHOULDN’T OR CAN’T GET PERMANENT JEWELRY

Anyone with a pacemaker/AICD should discuss this with their Cardiologist. While the type of welder used for this service does not typically produce enough energy to cause disturbances to your device, you should consult your care provider prior to booking a service. Also if you have a nickel, or have had another precious metal allergy, we do not recommend getting permanent jewelry. The chains base metals are typically made of brass or copper however nickel cannot be excluded every time. I myself have a nickel allergy and have not had any problems with any of my chains.

HOW TO I REDEEM MY LOYALTY CARD?

On your first purchase you will receive a loyalty card. Please keep this card with you to redeem 30% off your 4th purchase. This excludes solid gold options.

DO YOU HOST PRIVATE EVENTS?

Always! I’d love to host a private event for you and your guests. I require a minimum of 6 guest, excluding yourself. If 6 pieces are purchased the host will receive a free bracelet or anklet. Please contact me to discuss and schedule prior to booking this service. I can come to you at your chosen location or your small group can come to the studio. I have very limited space so you and up to 7 guest is the maximum occupancy in studio.
